What song is "Love Me" by Justin Bieber based off of?

What song is "Love Me" by Justin Bieber based off of?
I heard it on a commercial and the words were different and it was by different people but it was basically the same. It still has all of the, "Love me, love me. Say that you love me.", part but some of it is completely different. Does anyone know this song?

    I heard that too! Yeah, he didn't really write it--he just changed the lyrics a bit. Its some song by the Cardigans...or something like that. JB is better, though!! Source(s): ayy.IMAbelieber.

    I believe The Cardigans? I think No Doubt has a version of it too. Believe it or not, Justin Bieber is no musical genius and that's not his original song. The kid probably couldn't write a hit song if he tried.

    It's based off of the Cardigan's lovefool. He never claimed that it was his own original song. He said it was a new spinoff of that song. He actually didn't even write this new version. But he never said he did either. Also, most musicians don't write their own music. Chris Brown didn't write With You and lots of other songs. But he did write some like Down to Earth and some on My World part 2
